最初はソング・ライターとしてキャリアを始めたアーティストがいます。例えば，ミダス王ことBruno Marsは，ソングライター集団The Smeezingtonsの一人でしたし，あのSiaも業界に旋風を巻き起こすまでは，Beyoncé (Pretty Hurts)やBritney Spears (Perfume)に曲を提供したりしていました。
Some artists start their career as a songwriter.  For example, Bruno Mars, King Midas of Pop I call wrote a lot of songs as a member of a songwriting group The Smeezingtons.  Sia also wrote many songs for other artists like Beyoncé (Pretty Hurts) and Britney Spears (Perfume) before she became phenomenal as a solo artist.

この曲を書いたのは，ブレイクする前のKe$ha（2014年以降はKeshaと名乗っています）で，リードで述べたようにミダス王やSiaと同様に，彼女にもいわゆる「下積み」時代があったようです。
