Beat The Devil's Tattoo ブラック・レベル・モーターサイクル (Black Rebel Motercycle)

この曲を聞くと数年前に取り合えたSame 'Olを思い出します。おそらく両者のリズムがそうさせるのでしょうが，聞くとアドレナリンが出てこうしてはいられないという気分になります。
This song reminds me of Same 'Ol I posted several year's ago.  Probably it's the beat these two songs share that gives me some adrenaline rush and urges me to do something now.

* When there's no one left to pawn　・・・　pawn（人質にする）とチェスの「歩兵（最も弱い駒）」とかけています
** beat the devil's tattoo　・・・　この曲を歌っているRobert Levon Beenによるとこのタイトルは エドガー・アラン・ポーの短編「The Devil in the Belfry」から着想を得たそうで，元々は「日没後基地への帰還を兵士に伝えるドラムやラッパのリズム」を意味していたそうですが，その意味は失われており，今日では不安を感じた人間がテーブルの上で指をカタカタと鳴らしたり貧乏ゆすりをする場合に使われる表現だと思うとしています。

（余談）

非常にクールなこの曲ですが，具体的に何を歌っているのかは今の明確にはわかりませんが，薬物のことを歌っているという解釈が支持を得ているようです。
