（余談）

人間はなにかにつけて意味づけをしたくなる生き物なので「ただ生きている」ということに対してある種の居心地悪さを感じてしまいがちですが，生物学的に言えば，増殖することすなわち自分の遺伝子を次の世代に繋ぐこと以外に生きる目的など存在しません。

しかもなぜ「増殖」するのかについて明確な答えは存在しないので，最終的には「ただ生きている」と言うしかなくそこに「価値判断」が入る余地は全くありません。

「生きてるだけで丸儲け」と言われますがまさしくその通りであって，この主人公も答えを探して睡眠不足になるよりも，生きていることそれ自体に感謝して日々を過ごした方がよいのではないでしょうか？
