「優しくされれば悩みも消える，そんな相手がいてくれるお前はすごくツイてるぞ」といった下りは「俺様」な感じがしますが，Pete Townshend本人はこの曲は「ジーザスが歌っている」と言っています。確かに主人公が彼だとすると件の下りもわからないではありません。
Lines like "Love can cure your problems, You're so lucky I'm around" sound a bit arrogant, don't they?   The artist Pete Townshend  refers to this song as “Jesus sings.”  Thinking the narrator is Jesus himself,  these lines make sense.

それにしてもまあ「優しくされれば悩みも消える，そんな相手がいてくれるお前はすごくツイてるぞ」だの「自由になれる方法はたったひとつだけだから，この気持ちを受け止めてくれ」だの，万事に自信のない私のような人間からすると考えるだけでめまいがしそうですが，なにしろ相手はあのジーザスなのでそれもアリなのでしょう。

・・・が，これをそこら辺の「Jesus（ヘスス）」がやったら「何様？」と言われることは間違いありません。
