赤く燃える炎は比較的低い温度ですが青い炎はそれよりも遥かに高い温度で燃えているので，もし主人公が青く燃えているのだとすればかなり熱く燃えているのだと思われます。
While a red flame burns in relatively lower temperature, a blue flame burns in much higher temperature.  So if the narrator burns blue it means they burns terribly hot.
