ところで，下にあるこのアルバムのＣＤジャケットを見るたびに，気づくとloveという文字を認識していることに気付いて驚きます。アルファベットではなく，実際には，長方形，円，三角形，正方形の４つの幾何学図形が並んでいるだけだからです。他にも，コンセント，車のフロント，窓などが人間の顔に見えたりもします。人間の認知の不思議です。パレイドリア（Pareidolia：変像）というのがこの現象を表す言葉で，抽象的かつランダムなもののなかに意味を見出してしまう現象です。人間の脳はそういう風に出来ているんですね。

Anyway, every time I look at the CD jacket below, I'm always surprised to find myself reading "love" in it. These are not alphabets but four geometrical figures; rectangular, circle, downward triangle and square. We also often see faces in various objects, like electrical outlet, the face of a car and windows. The mystery of human cognition. Pareidolia is the name given to these phenomena, in which vague and random stimulus is perceived as significant. Our brains are wired that way.
