「自分を信じろ」と言われますしそのことを歌った曲も多数存在します。既に何事かを成し遂げた人間にとっては，そういうのもさほど難しくはないのかもしれませんが，ただまだ何も成し遂げていない人間にとっては，言うは易し行うは難しでしょう。そう信じるだけの確証がないからです。
They say "believe in yourself" and a lot of songs encourage us to do.  It's not very hard for those who have achieved something already.  They've already proved it.  For those who hasn't achieved anything yet, however, it's easier said than done because they can't be sure if they can do so.

（余談）

思うに「翼」はおそらく「才能」のメタファーであり，自分の才能を信じて夢を追えば，人生で何かが掴めると主人公は語りかけているのでしょう。

確かにその通りですが，現実には翼（才能）が折れたり傷ついたりしてもう二度と飛べなくなるのではないか，あるいはその「翼」を広げることで周囲から批判されるのではないかという不安から，思う存分「翼」を広げられない人も少なくないような気がします。

・・・私も「妄想の翼」ならいくらでも広げられるんですけどねえ。
