Alone スティーヴン・シモンズ (Stephen Simmonds)

主人公は「ずっとそばにいてくれれば，決して離れていったりしないから」と言って，相手に自分と付き合ってくれるよう求めています。これは一見すると正当な主張のように思えるのですが，個人的に若干違和感を覚えます。というのも，これではまるで契約書のように思えるからです。
主人公が孤独であり，自分のことを大切にしてくれる存在を必要として，自分と一緒にいてくれるよう必死に相手を説得しようとしていることはわかります。ただ「恋愛」と「契約」とは相性が悪いような気がします。
The protagonist is asking the second person to be with him, saying he won't leave them if they don't leave him.  On the surface it sounds fair but I feel a bit uncomfortable with it.  It sounds like a business contract.  I understand he's lonely and desperately needs someone who cares for him.  He is trying to convince the second person stay with him but I don't think love is compatible with a contract.

（余談）

曲が大変クールで気に入ったのですが，和訳には何故か大変苦労しました。難しい単語はなく，わかりにくい構文もほとんどないのですが，それだけに掴みどころがなく，これといった具体的な記述もないためかもしれません。ただ主人公が孤独であることだけは，その曲調も手伝ってヒシヒシと伝わってきます。
