Higher Than Here ジェイムズ・モリソン (James Morrison)

ヴィデオのなかでJames Morrisonは自分はゴスペル・ミュージックのファンで常に何かゴスペルっぽい曲を書こうとしてきた。最初のアルバムに収録されているUndiscoveredが一番それに近いものだと語っています。またこのHigher Than Hereという曲については，最新アルバムのテーマを集約したような曲で，今の状況がひどいわけではないがそこから抜け出そうとしているという内容だと説明しています。
In the video, James Morrison is explaining that he loves gospel music and he's always trying to write something a bit of gospel.  He says Undiscovered on his first album was the closest thing.  According to him this Higher Than Here is a song summing up his coming album that is about people who are not in a completelly bad place but they're looking to step out and expand.

（余談）

上のヴィデオでJames Morrisonはこの曲をライヴで歌った時に鳥肌が立ったと語っています。彼は鳥肌をgoose pimplesと表現していますが，鳥肌を表す言葉にはこれ以外にもgoose bumpsやgoose skinがありますが，日本語をそのまま訳したchicken skinや某バンド名のような表現は一般的ではありません。どうやら英語の鳥はchickenではなくgooseであるようです。
