博愛主義的で素晴らしいこの曲ですが，私にはここで歌われている世界が「人類全体が「人類」として調和している世界」に思われてなりません。「多分そんなにすぐじゃない，生きてるうちには無理そうだけど (Maybe not in time for you and me)」と聞いてむしろ安堵を覚えるのはおそらくそのせいでしょう。
