Reminiscing リトル・リバー・バンド (Little River Band)

主人公は愛する相手との現在の生活を大変楽しんでおり，そのせいで物事に対してやや楽観的に過ぎるようですが，現在「公園を突っ切って夜一緒に踊りに行」くのはあまりいい考えとは思えません。
The narrator seems to be enjoying their life with the loved one today very much.  I think that makes them a bit optimistic about a night out but I don't think it's a very good idea to "go dancing in the dark, walking through the park" these days.

すぐにいきなり終わりになった
家に帰る途中の道で

（余談）

Glenn MillerやCole Porterが現役だった当時ならばいざ知らず，現在日没後の公園をたとえひとりではないにしろ歩いていくのはかなり危険なように思われるのは私だけでしょうか？
