Not While I'm Around スウィーニー・トッド(Sweeney Todd/Josh Groban)

Johnny Depp主演の映画Sweeney Toddから。映画では男の子がこの歌を歌っています。日本語とは異なり，英語は人称などに性や年齢といった制限があまりないため，様々な人が（男性も女性も）この曲をカヴァーしています。ヴィデオは，それぞれJosh GrobanとBarbra Streisandのカヴァーです。歌詞は，Barbra Streisandの1985年のアルバム（先日お話したように米国のアルバムチャートで＃１を記録しています）The Broadway Albumから取りました。
和訳では，主人公は男性の使用人が主人に向けて歌っている体裁になっています。
In the film "Sweeney Todd" starring Johnny Depp, a little boy sings the song.  Unlike Japanese, English is less  age-and gender-conscious and many singers (both male and female) cover it.  The videos below are Josh Groban's cover and Barbra Streisand's cover. The lyrics are from her 1985 album "The Broadway Album".
This time I translated the lyrics into Japanese assuming that the first person in the lyrics is an adult male servant and the second person his master.

余談：この曲，何となくあの「ベルばら」のアンドレがオスカルに歌ってるような気がして仕方ないんです・・・・いや勿論違うと思いますよ。妄想ですけどね。でもいかにも歌いそう・・・。
