コカインは覚せい剤なので使用すると正常な睡眠サイクルが乱れてしまいます。本来なら精神伝達物質であるドーパミンのリサイクルすなわち再取り込みによって神経細胞間の信号が停止し眠くなるのですが，コカインはそれを阻害してしまいます。
It's said cocaine which is a stimulant disrupts our healthy sleep cycle.  It inhibits the recycling process or the reintake of a neurotransmitter dopamine, shutting off the signalling between nerve cells to induce sleep.

（余談）

「無理なこと」を表現するのに「コカインやって眠るみたいな無理」とするあたりに文化の違いを痛感します。私なら「食べ放題に行ってダイエット」とするのが関の山です。
