Closer To You ブレット・デネン(Brett Dennen)

以前，Brett Dennenはなかなか良いラヴソングを書いていると言いましたが，これはその一つ。ルックスは多少オタクっぽい彼ですが，この曲の歌詞は正統派で直球勝負。ただ言葉の選び方に彼独自の芸風があり，（政府機関の集まる）キャピタルヒル(Capitol Hill)だのウォールストリート(Wall Street)といった単語が出てきます。ラヴソングでは普通あまりお目にかからない単語ですよね？
In the previous post, I said Brett Dennen wrote some good love songs.  This is one of them.  Despite his somewhat geeky appearance, the lyrics are rather classic and straightforward.  We can see his signature in the lyrics, especially in his choice of words, like Capitol Hill and Wall Street.  These are not words frequently used in a love song, aren't they?
