True Colors ゼッド (Zedd ft. Tim James)

KeshaのPrayingを知ってここに辿りつきました。一般的に言って「言及される」ということは，ある意味その影響力の大きさを表わしています。この曲でもコーラスの最後に主人公が「 (Let me show you my, my true colors)」と言っていますが，これは間違いなくCyndi LauperのTrue Colorsの一節「だから怖がらずに見せてほしい，そのままの本当の姿を，本当のあなたはきれいで，虹のように輝いてるんだから (So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors, True colors are beautiful, Like a rainbow)」を踏まえたものでしょう。
Kesha's Praying brought me to this song.  Being referred to is generally considered as a sign of the significance in a way.  In the end of chorus, the narrator tells you "Let me show you my, my true colors, It ain't no rainbow".  This is definitely a reference to lines in Cyndi Lauper's True Colors "So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors, True colors are beautiful, Like a rainbow"

おそらく多くの日本人がTrue Colorsと聞いて思い出すのは，本家のCyndi Lauperの方ですが，歌詞の持つメッセージで言えば，個人的にはこちらの曲の方がずっと心に訴えかけてくるような気がします。
