「Immortal不死の）」意味はなんでしょうか？我々が何かを指して「不死の」と言う場合，それが生き物であり，いつかは死んだり，消えてしまったりするという前提があるように思います。ダイアモンドに「不死の」という言葉がつかないのは，それが生き物ではなく，決して「死なない」からです。
What does 'immortal' mean?  I think when we call something immortal, we assume it's alive and supposed to die or subject to die or disappear someday.  We don't call a diamond immortal because it's not alive and never dies.
