この曲はTime Out New Yorkの作成した「The 50 best ’80s songs」に入っています。最初に聞いた時にはさしていいとは思えなかったものの，何度か聞いているうちにここで取り上げなければという気になりました。これは「単純接触効果　(mere exposure effect)」というヤツでしょうか？
This song comes in on the The 50 best ’80s songs list compiled by Time Out New York.  At first, I wasn't much impressed with it.  Listening to it few times, however, I started thinking I need to pick it up here.  Is this a mere exposure effect?

一説には最後の「Wind on my face, sound in my ears, Water from my eyes, and you on my mind, As I sink, diving down deep...deeper into your soul」は，Neneh Cherryが当時の恋人からヴァレンタインデーに送られた詩なんだとか。当時のその彼の気持ちを疑うつもりは全くありませんが，別れた後で自分の詩がこんな形で世に出てしまったとしたら，私なら到底耐えられません。

・・・まあそれで印税でも入ってくれば別かもしれませんが。

それはともかく，こちらでも何度か取り上げているあのMabelは，このNeneh Cherryの娘だそうです。
