主人公はこちらに心の声を信じてそれに従えと説いています。キリスト教的信仰においては，人間は元々心の中で何が善で何が悪かわかっているという理解ですが，進化生物学的に言えば，生き物は自身の遺伝子を次の世代に引き継ぐように出来ているだけです。
The narrator is telling us to trust our heart and follow what it says. In the Christian faith, people are supposed to be made to know what's right and what's wrong in their heart. In the evolution biology, organisms are just made to leave their genes to the next generation.

ただ個人的に言えばうかつにも「trust my heart」した結果，大惨事を招いてしまったことも一度や二度ではありません。
