（余談）

リード・シンガーのMatt Scannellによると，昔好きになった人がいて，なんとか力になりたいと心から思っていたにもかかわらず，その相手が頼るのは彼以外の人間ばかりで彼自身は全く相手にされなかった経験があり，その時の辛かった経験をこの曲にしたのだそうです。

この曲については，神について語った曲だと考える人もあるようで，確かにその視点から見ると神が人間に語り掛けていると取ることもできそうですが，同様に親が（思春期の）子どもに抱く思いとも共通するものがあるような気がします。
