恐怖は人間を動かします。命の危険にさらされていると感じると人間は安全を感じるためにほとんどどんなことでもしてしまいます。それを邪魔するものはそれが人間であれモノであれ排除しなくてはならず，そこに人間らしさが入る余地はありません。
Fear drives us.  When you feel your life is in danger, you will do almost anything just to feel safe.  So anyone and anything that get in your way have to be removed.  There's no room for humanity there.
