白状しましょう。努力は十分したのですが，この歌詞を完全には理解できませんでした。ただ思うに，これは不倫関係を歌ったものではないでしょうか。主人公（男性）は，特定の相手のある女性（YOU）と不倫関係にあって苦悩しています。彼女と結ばれたいと願いながらも，心の奥でそれができないことを悟って別れる決意をする・・・。まあどうでもいいんですけどね。この曲は，今回のグラミー賞のBest Rock SongとBest Rock Performanceの２部門にノミネートされています。
それはともかく，今回この曲を取り上げたのは，ただただこの投稿の一番下のヴィデオを紹介したかったから。意表を突かれたとはまさにこのことでした。
Let's face it.  I've tried very, very hard but don't understand the lyric completely.  In my opinion, this is a song about an affair.  The first person in the lyrics is having an affair with the second person who has someone to sleep with.  That hits him hard.  He wishes he could be with her but deep inside he knows he can't and decides to let her go.  Well, whatever.  This song is nominated for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance at the 54th Grammy Awards.

余談：ヴィデオの動きを見て「この感じ・・どこかで」と思ったのですが・・見た瞬間に爆笑しました。
レディオヘッドと彼の組み合わせ，斬新過ぎます。
