この夏オリンピックロンドン大会が開催されます。アカデミー賞受賞監督のDanny Boyleが開会式の総指揮を行うとか。この曲はイングランドの非公式国家と言われる曲で，1982年のアカデミー作品賞その他に輝く映画「炎のランナー」にも使用されています。

London 2012 Olympic Games take place this summer  I heard the Oscar winning director, Danny Boyle was appointed as the Artistic Director of the Opening Ceremony.  This song is said to be the"unofficial anthem of England."  It is used in the film"Chariots of Fire" which won Best Picture in Academy Awards in 1982.
