New Divide リンキン・パーク(Linkin Park)

「トランスフォーマー　リベンジ」は未見ですが，仮に観ていたとしたら，もっと歌詞の内容が理解しやすかったんでしょうか？当事者２人の間に出来た溝についての曲であることは理解できるのですが，どうしてこの映画にこの曲だったのかという点が謎です。いかような解釈もできそうな歌詞なので，異星人（you)と我々（I）の対話であるとの解釈も存在します。あまりに突拍子もないように聞こえるのですが，実はそうでもない。
というのも，相手から非難された時の主人公の心情を綴った冒頭の部分が，あまりにドラマチックかつ壮大過ぎます。「今でも覚えてる　その瞬間、空が雲って暗くなって辺りを稲妻が走った」って・・・オイオイ。前述の異星人説がずっとそれらしく思えてきませんか？
I haven't seen the film "Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen"yet.  If I did, would it be much easier for me to understand the lyrics?  The lyrics seem to be about a rift between two people and I understand that.  What I want to know is why the song is chosen for the film.  Since the lyrics are open, some people think it's a dialog between aliens (the second person) and us (the first person).  Does it sound far fetched to you?  Actually, it doesn't.
The first verse seems to me too dramatic and spectacular to describe the feeling of the first person when he faces an accusation from the second person.  "I remembered black skies, the lightening all around me" .... Oh, give me a break.  Don't you think the alien theory above is more plausible?
