Wikipediaによると，このAminata 'Amy' Kabba (A*M*E)は，シエラ・レオネのフリータウン出身，1994年12月13日生まれですから18歳ということになります。とはいうものの，実際の年齢よりもはるかに若い12・13歳に見えてしまうので，どうも落ち着かない気分になります。ヴィデオを見るたびに，なんとなく「ヤバいもの」を見ているような気がしてしまうからです。そういう訳で，ヴィデオを見る（実際には見ないのですが）場合には，眼を閉じて曲に集中しています。
ところで，Wikipediaを読みながら気がついたのが，彼女がシエラ・レオネ出身ということ。シエラ・レオネと言えば，かつて激しい内戦と25歳という平均寿命の短さで世界的に有名（悪い意味で）な国です。国による社会保障制度の整ったイギリスに来られて本当に良かったと思います。

Well, according to Wikipedia, Aminata 'Amy' Kabba (A*M*E) was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone on 13 December 1994 and she's now 18 years old. However, she looks much younger, say 12 or 13 years old and that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. Every time I watch the video, I feel as if I'm watching "something illegal." So I'm trying to concentrate on her song with my eyes closed whenever I "watch" (technically not, though) it.
Anyway, reading Wikipedia, what caught my attention was the fact she was born in Sierra Leone. The country was once notorious to the world for its terrible civil war and the shortest life expectancy (25 years old). It's good for her she came to the UK where social security system is well provided by the state.

（余談）
最初は任天堂の「ゲームボーイ」を指しているのだと思っていましたが，おそらくplay the game, boyというセリフとの掛詞でしょう。そこで訳文では「ゲーム」としました。
それでふと思ったのですが，英語になった日本語として古いところでは，tunami, typhoonなどが，そして比較的新しいものとしては，sushi，teriyakiなどがあると思いますが，Nintendoは特に新しいものではないでしょうか。
なにしろあのEminemのLove The Way You Lie http://oyogetaiyakukun.blogspot.jp/2011/09/love-way-you-lie-eminem-ft-rihanna.html のなかにも，"Life is no Nintendo game"という箇所が出てきます。この曲も同社のゲームボーイが広く認知されているからこそのタイトルでしょう。いや任天堂恐るべし。
それにしても，この曲といい，Lana Del ReyのVideo Gamesといい，ゲーマーの評判はあまり芳しくないようです。
