人には出会いと別れがありますが曲も同じで，ある日突然，脈絡もなく出会ってしまう曲もあります。ネットで偶然出会うまで，Nick Drakeという名前もこの曲のことも全く知りませんでしたが，この曲を聞くと，なぜか救われたような気持ちになりました。
People come and go and so does songs.  Some songs like this come into my life from nowhere.  I've never heard his name Nick Drake nor this song before I stumbled upon it on the Internet.  I don't know what the narrator is exactly talking about.  Listening to it, I feel saved somehow.

（余談）

「今を精一杯生きろ」系の曲が多いなか，この曲はいわば他力本願あるいは「なるようになる」系の曲と言えるかもしれません。掴みどころのない曲ともいえますが，それだけに逆に肩の力が抜けてリラックスできる名曲であるように思われます。
