あるタイプの人間を特定の音楽ジャンルと結び付けて考えることは少なくありません。例えば，ヒップホップ・アーティストと聞くと，DrakeやKendric Lamarのようなアフリカ系のアーティストを想像する一方で，カントリー・シンガーというと，Blake SheltonやGarth Brooksといったヨーロッパ系を想像します。これがステレオタイプというものですが，それが必ずしも正しいわけではないことはわかっています。
We often associate a certain type of people with a specific music genre.  For example, when we hear a hiphop artist, what we think of would be someone of African decent such as Drake and Kendric Lamar.  On the other hand a stereotypical country singer would be someone of European decent like Blake Shelton and Garth Brooks.  These are stereotypes and we know they're not always true.

（余談）

このKane Brownを知った時は，その風貌からてっきりヒップホップやR&B系のアーティストだと思ったのですが，曲を聞いてみると王道のカントリーでした。

それはともかく，オルタナティヴなどの他のジャンルと異なり，カントリーというジャンルにおいては，どうやら直球勝負が必要不可欠であるようです。
