Ghost Town ザ・スペシャルズ (The Specials)

理由はわかりませんが，この曲を聞いて不安で居心地が悪くなりました。おそらくサウンドが若干不気味で歌詞の内容がかなり暗いためでしょう。陰気なミュージック・ヴィデオもこの曲の暗いトーンに大いに影響を与えています。
I don't know why but I felt anxious and uncomfortable when I heard this song.  Probably it's because the sound was a bit spooky and the lyrics were quite depressing.  The gloomy music video also contributes a lot to the depressing tone of the song.

（余談）

80年代とひとくくりにしていますが，この時代の曲，とりわけイギリスの曲を聞いて気が付いたことがあります。80年代前半の曲は全体的に暗く陰鬱で，後半の曲はその点が少し変わってくるということです。

以前どこかで音楽は時代を反映していると聞いたことがありますが，イギリスが不況の真っただ中にいた80年代前半と，そこから抜け出した後半の社会情勢をヒット曲が反映しているように思います。
