翻訳とりわけ歌詞の翻訳をする上で苦労することのひとつが，アーティストがよくスラングを使うという点で，スラングのなかには「bad」や「beast」のように本来の意味とは反対の意味で使われるものもあります。

（余談）

うっかり間違えると言葉の意味，ひいては歌詞の内容が正反対になってしまうわけですから，その単語が本来の意味で使われているのか，あるいはスラングとして使われているのかを見極めるのが，翻訳とりわけ歌詞の翻訳をする上で最も難しいと言えるのかもしれません。

なにしろ「badass」を直訳すれば「悪いケツ」ですが，実際の意味は「めちゃくちゃカッコイイヤツ」ですから。
