TwitterやInstagramといったSNSの影響で，我々は周囲から認められることにほとんど執着しているといっていいまでになりました。自分は特別な存在であるということを世間に示すのに忙しく，なかには自分しか読めない名前を使うことでそうしようとする人もあるようですが，目立つ方法はそれだけではありません。   
SNS like Twitter and Instagram made many of us almost obsessed with being recognized by others these days.  We're busy proving the world we're special.  Some of achieve it by using a name which nobody but themselves can read.  That's not the only way to stand out, though.

なにしろJames Smithです。日本で言うなら「佐藤健太」レベルの名前ですが，今回はむしろそのわざとらしいまでの平凡さに惹かれてこの曲を取り上げることになりました。
