数日前に近所のスーパーで女性が言うことを聞けと（おそらく）自分の子どもを怒鳴っているのを目にしました。私の見たところ，その子どもは一生懸命やっているのですが上手くいかずそれが余計に女性の怒りに火をつけているようでした。
Few days ago at a local supermarket, I saw a woman shouting at their children (probably) telling them to do what she told.  To me the kids seemed desperately trying and just not being successful enough.  That seemed to make her even more frustrated.

（余談）

無論怒鳴っていた彼女の気持ちもわからないではないのですが，かつてああいう子どもだった私に言わせれば怒鳴るのは百害あって一利なし。落ち着いて考えれば難なく出来ることであっても，怒鳴られることで「失敗できない」とプレッシャーがかかってあり得ない失敗をしてしまいます。

恋愛だけに限らず人生のあらゆる局面において「slow down」は心に留めておくべき言葉であるように思われます。
