我々人間にとって最も難しいことのひとつが中途半端な状態に置かれて何も出来ないということでしょう。神だの邪悪なものだのといった目に見えないスピリチュアルなものを信じてしまうことは少なくありませんが，それは単にそれらが日常生活で経験する「わけのわからなさ」を説明してくれるからに他なりません。
One of the hardest things for us humans is being in limbo and unable to act on it.  People often believe in something spiritual like gods or evil spirits just because they explain the unexplainables they face in their daily lives.

（余談）

「神」にしろ「邪悪な存在」にしろ「善」にしろ「悪」にしろ，突き詰めて考えればすべて人間の「脳」が考え出したことです。

そもそも「ある」とアプリオリに認識しているこの「世界」さえそこに「実在」するのかは我々人間にはわかりません。感覚器官を通してしか「世界」を認識できないため，その感覚器官で知覚できないものはその存在すら理解できません。

「どっちでもない」なんてあるわけがないというこの主人公ですが，実のところ個人的にはむしろ「どっちでもない」もの「しか」ないと言った方が正確であるような気がします。
