Private Idaho ビー・フィフティー・ツース (B-52s)

1991年公開の映画「マイ・プライベート・アイダホ（Keanu Reeves・River Phoenix主演）の監督であるGus Van Santは，映画のクレジットでこの映画の着想を得たことをこのバンドに感謝しています。
The director (Gus Van Sant) of a film "My Own Private Idaho" starring Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix released in 1991 expressed his gratitude to the band for inspiration in the credits of the film.

（余談）

それはともかく，アーティスト名の読み方がわからず調べたところ，このB-52というのは「ビー・フィフティーツースビーフィフティ」という名前のカクテルだとわかりました。
 

材料となるリキュール（カルーア、ベイリーズ、グランマルニエ）を順に重ねて，それぞれのカクテルの比重の違いを利用して層になるように作る甘口でアルコール度数強めのカクテルだそうです。

・・・が，何故このバンド名になったのかは謎です。
