皆さん最初に登校した日のことを覚えておいででしょうか？私は覚えていません。友達がいたか？あまりいませんでしたし，常にひとりで絵を描いていました。

* show and tell　・・・　アメリカの学校で行われる発表会で，自分で選んだ題材についてクラスメイトの前で発表する。

（余談）

「ぼっち」は私のミドルネームですが，当時（おそらく今でもある程度は）周囲では「みんなと仲良くできる明るい子」がもてはやされていたので「協調性がなくわがままで暗いぼっちの子」であった私の居場所はあまりありませんでした。

・・・今もさほど変わっていませんが。
