我々日本人が「そばかす」という単語を聞くと顔のそれだけを思い出しますが，ヨーロッパ系の人のなかには体中にそばかすがあるという人もいます。

（余談）
一見さして意味のないことに思えるかもしれませんが，リードで述べたことはこの歌詞を理解する上で無視できません。
仮にここで語られる「そばかす」が顔だけのものであったとすると「そばかすをひとつひとつ辿って行けばそこに星座ができあがる」という下りはただ「相手の顔のそばかすをひとつひとつ辿った」というだけにとどまってしまいますが，この歌詞の肝は相手の「体」のそばかすをひとつひとつ辿っていった，すなわち服を着ていないという点にあるからです。
そしてそこに「服を着ていない」という前提があるからこそその後に続く様々な（エロい）描写が生きてきます。
この曲を作った時，Jade LeMacはわずか16歳だったそうで，初めてこの曲を聞いた時その歌詞の巧みさにBilly EilishのBellyacheを思い出しました。
