I Will Be アヴリル・ラヴィーン (Avril Lavigne)

2002年に彼女の"Complicated"のヴィデオを見て、その曲作りの才能に感動しました。この曲でもその才能を遺憾なく発揮しています。この曲"I Will Be"はLeona Lewisがカヴァーしていて、そちらの方がこのオリジナルよりも有名のようです。Leonaの方がカヴァーであることを知らない人も 多く、実は私もそのひとり。ここでは本家Avril LavigneとカヴァーのLeona Lewisの両方のヴィデオをつけました。
今回和訳はあまり性差を感じさせないものになっています。作曲したのも歌っているのも女性なので最初は女性用の人称と語尾（～の・～わ）を使ってみたのですが昼メロチックになってしまったので止めました。どうしてですかね？
I saw her video "Complicated" in 2002 and was greatly impressed with her ability in song writing.  Being such a good song writer, she does not hesitate to demonstrate her skill here.  This song "I Will Be" is covered by Leona Lewis and the cover seems to be much popular than the original.  Actually many people do not realize Leona's is a cover.  Yes, I was one of them.  I post two videos here.  One is the original (Avril) and the other is a cover (Leona).  
This time, my translation is less gender-conscious.  Written and sung by Avril Lavign, I first tried to do it  more gender-conscious way but found a little soapy.  I don't know why.

追記：ＴＶ・ラジオ・新聞・本といった従来の媒体に比べてYouTubeは比較的新しい媒体なので利用者の大半は３０歳以下です。この曲I Will Beはレオナ・ルイスの曲として女性のみならず男性にもカヴァーされています。ここで歌っている彼はレオナ・ルイスのカヴァーコンテストで優勝しました。
