「浮気癖は治らない」と歌詞で主人公は述べていますが，それと同じ内容の表すことわざが英語には多数存在します。「豹の体の模様はいつまでも変わらない」「年をとって（白髪になって）もキツネは（狡賢い）キツネのままで誠実になることはない」「悪魔はいつまでたっても悪魔のまま」。このどれもが同じ「三つ子の魂百まで」を意味していますが，同じ意味のことわざはこれだけではありません。

There are so many proverbs in English which describe what the narrator says in the lyrics: "A cheat stays a cheater,"  "A leopard never changes its spots," "The fox may grow grey, but never good," "Once a devil, always a devil."  They all mean the same thing and the list doesn't end here.

（余談）

浮気をした後はその足で焼き肉屋に行き，そこでイヤというほど焼き肉の匂いをつけてから帰宅するという人の話をどこかで聞いたことがあります。そうすることで，浮気相手の匂いがかき消されてしまうからなんだとか。そういう「達人」の話を知っているだけに，この相手には「脇が甘い」と言わざるを得ません。
