「狼」という言葉は，肉食獣が獲物を捕らえるように，自分のために他人を利用する人間を指す場合が少なくありません。Selena Gomezによれば，「この曲は自分のことを歌ったすごくステキな曲で，歌詞の内容にもちゃんとそれなりの中身があって」「自分も同じような経験をしたから，いちいち思い当たるところがある」と語っています。仮にそうだとすると，彼女がこの曲の主人公だということになりますが，では一体誰が「狼」なんでしょうか？
