When I saw the title, I thought it's about something political such as the Civil Rights Movement in 1960s in the US but probably it's not. It's rather about having a faith and being positive about ourselves no matter what other people perceive us.

（余談）
「自分の姿を見せる (express yourself)」ぶんには何ら問題はないと思いますが，だからといって「自分（の一部）を見せ (expose/exhibit yourself)」てしまうと，公然わいせつ罪に問われる危険性があります。
