Chaise longueとは文字通りフランス語の「長椅子」に当たる言葉で，典型的なものは背もたれがつき両足が乗るほど長さのあるこういったソファを言います。

（余談）
最初の方に登場する「the big D」といい「should be horizontal」といい，ここでは詳らかにいたしませんが色々と思わせぶりな箇所が散見されます。
