実際に起こったことよりも起こりそうなことの方を恐れるのは不思議です。まるで本当のシリアルキラーよりも幽霊の方を怖がるようなもので，理性では意味のないバカげたことだとわかっていても気持ちの方はそうはいきません。
It's strange that we fear what might happen more that what actually happened.  It's like being scared of a ghost than a real serial killer.  Our brain tells us it's nonsense and ridiculous but our heart does otherwise.
