Conor Deegan IIIによればこの曲はメンバーのCarlos O'Connellに子どもが生まれたことでできた曲だそうで，そちらはもっと子守唄寄りのものだそうですが歌詞は同じものであるようです。
Conor Deegan III says, "It’s Amazing To Be Young" is a song that was written in the presence of a newborn child – Carlos’ child. " The original version sounds much like a lullaby but the lyrics are the same.
