Neon Lights デミ・ロヴァート (Demi Lovato)

「We'll be burning up like neon lights」という歌詞を読んだ時，これはメタファーだと思ったものの，一体何を具体的に示しているのかはわからなかったのですが（本当です！），下のミュージック・ヴィデオを見て謎が解けました。Demi Lovatoが文字通りネオンみたいに輝いているではありませんか！それを見て，ようやくあれがメタファーではなく主人公の実際の描写だとわかりました。主人公は特異体質なんですね。
When I read the lyrics, saying, "We'll be burning up like neon lights", I thought it's a metaphor and but I couldn't figure out what it exactly stood for (I swear!).  The music video below in which Demi Lovato looked literally like a neon light explained it.  Now I know it's not a metaphor but a real-life description of the protagonist.  She must be idiosyncrastic.
