11月の末から正月休み明けまでの季節は最高です。クリスマスの時期が近づくと商店や住宅がライトやオーナメント，キラキラのモールやリースなどで飾られます。そういうものは大変美しく，見ているだけでこれから何か素晴らしいことが自分の身に起こるのではないかという間違った期待を抱いてしまいます。
I love the holiday season which starts late November and ends after the New Years Holidays.  When it approaches, shops, stores and houses get decorated with lights, Christmas ornaments, tinsel, wreath and garland.  They're beautiful enough to give me a false hope that something wonderful is happening to me.

（余談）

リード文で述べたようにクリスマス前から正月にかけての華やかさが大好きで，毎年この時期になるたびに今年こそは何か素晴らしいことが起こると信じていたのですが，現在に至るまでクリスマスに何か特別なことが起こったことはただの一度もありません。

・・・子ども時代，己の超能力を開発すべく日々努力していたにもかかわらず，こと「予知能力」に関してはその努力は全くの無駄だったことが図らずも証明されてしまいました。
