不安のせいでなにもかもがダメになることがあります。人間は不安を感じて自信がなくなると，他人を信頼できなくなります。それが他人に伝わるため，相手も不安で居心地が悪くなり，かくして同じ悪循環が繰り返します。
この曲を聞いた時，てっきりSam Smithが歌っていると思ったのですが，実はCharlie Puthで，その美しいファルセットで，真剣に付き合わないと相手を責める主人公の抱える不安を描き出しています。
Fear and anxiety can ruin everything.  When we get very insecure and less confident, it's hard for us to trust others.  The fear is contagious and makes others feel uncomfortable and insecure.  Then the same vicious cycle starts all over again.
When I heard this song, I thought it's Sam Smith who's singing.  No, it's Charlie Puth.  With his beautiful falsetto, he describes the insecurity of the narrator who's accusing the second person of not committing in their relationship.

この主人公2人は，お互いに相手になんらかの「恩恵」を与えたと思っているにもかかわらず，相手からはそれを認められていません。だとすればそこから推察するに，お互いの考える「相手がやるべき事柄」の内容が異なっている可能性があります。

まずお互いに話し合って，その「相手がやるべき事柄」内容を定義することから始めるべきではないでしょうか？
