ウツの人は時としてそうでないように振る舞うと聞いたことがあります。周囲に大丈夫だと言いますが実際はそうではありません。
I heard sometimes a heavily depressed person behaves otherwise.  They try to tell others they're OK and fine while in fact they are not.

（余談）

・・・ただ「頭がいい」ということと「バカみたいな金持ちになる」こととの間に相関関係はあるかもしれませんが，そこに直接の因果関係にはないと思われます。
