ここ日本で「イギリス人女性」とはイングランド出身で，スコットランド出身でもウェールズ出身でもないと言ったらちょっとバカみたいに聞こえませんか？
Here in Japan, do I sound a bit stupid when I say 'English girl' means a girl who is from England, not from Scotland or from Wales?

（余談）

多くの日本人にとってイギリス人＝英国人（British）であり，私自身もそのように言っているのですが，ただ当の英国人にとってはこの違いは無視できないようで，日本で言えば，ワールドカップに「侍ジャパン」ではなく「侍カンサイ」や「サムライ東北」が出てくるようなものかもしれません。
