Georgy Girl ザ・シーカーズ (The Seekers)

The Seekersという名前を聞いたことはありませんが，この曲は以前耳にしたことがあると思います。イギリスのバンドだと思っていたので，オーストラリア出身だと聞いた時には少し意外な気がしました。この曲は1967年のアカデミー賞の歌曲賞にノミネートされたものの，受賞には至りませんでした。
I've never heard of The Seekers but I think I've heard this song before.  It's a bit surprising to me to find the band was from Australia not from UK, which I somehow believed to be.  The song was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1967 but didn't win it.
