子どもの頃の私は日常とは違うものがあるとすぐに夢中になってしまう性格で，恐竜，UFOにUMA，失われた文明に当然のことながら宇宙人などといったものが世界の中心でした。

Wikipediaによれば，歌詞に登場する「World Contact 」とは，毎年決められた日（３月１５日）の決められた時間に世界中の有志が集まり，宇宙の地球外生命体に向かって思考エネルギーを送るという日なのだとか。

それはともかく，リードには書き忘れましたが「超能力」もそのひとつで，宿題のドリルはやらないくせに超能力の自主トレだけは欠かさず日々励んでいました。
