何故人は盗むのか？おそらく持ってないからでしょう。もし十分に与えられていれば，与えることも，他人に対して優しく寛容になることもさほど難しくはありません。仮にそうだとすると，ベイシック・インカムのような制度があれば，世界はもっとよくなるはずですが，果たして本当にそうなのでしょうか？

（余談）

歌詞に登場する「Return the ring」。これには「婚約（結婚）解消」と取る説と「盗んだものを出せ」と取る説とあるようですが，この曲のテーマが階級差であるとすると，後者だと考える方が筋が通るような気がします。
