子供時代や十代の頃を春に，20代から30代前半を夏に，中年期を秋に，そして老年期を冬というように，我々は人生を四季にたとえることがあります。両者には共通するところも多いのですが，ただ一点だけが違います。我々の人生では「春」すなわち子ども時代は二度とやって来ません。
We often use the four seasons as a metaphor for our lives: Spring for childhood or younger days like our teens, summer for our twenties and early thirties, autumn for the middle age and winter for the old age.  They have so much in common except for one thing.  In our life, the spring, our childhood never comes again.
